Film screening and discussion at Kampus Hybernská. The movie is screened in Hungarian, with English subtitles.
Just the Wind (Hungarian: Csak a szél) is a 2012 Hungarian drama film directed by Benedek Fliegauf. The movie takes place in the span of 24 hours, following four members of a gypsy family who live on an isolated farm in Hungary: it is based on the real-life serial murders against Roma people that were committed by a neo-nazi death squad in Hungary in 2008-2009. The murders took the lives of six people, among them a 4-year old child, and are considered one of the worst crimes of post-'89 Hungary.
The film competed in competition at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Jury Grand Prix.
The event is in English, a discussion will follow after the screening as always.
